It's common for people to wish that they could contact loved ones to guarantee closure, ask unanswered questions and whisper goodbyes. For eight souls in "Deadroom" this becomes reality.

Set as four separate stories tied into one, "Deadroom" takes place on only one set. Staged in a space much like an interrogation room at a police station, loved ones, acquaintances and people search for answers as they gather to chat with those that have passed on. The relationships appear slowly, as each saga tugs at heartstrings.

The first vignette is merely titled 'Man and Woman.' Neither of the characters is given much of a history. The dead woman is haunted and jittery. The man is trying to help her remember the circumstances surrounding her death. She recounts her youth as days of bullying and getting everything she wanted, but never being truly happy. Her hollow eyes and painful childhood memories are a stinging reminder that material possessions are not enough to sustain a happy life.

'Tim and Pearcy' engage in a battle of the wits. Tim, a pseudo-journalist, interviews a dead and disgruntled writer named Pearcy. In his day, Pearcy penned a story that would end up predicting all of the events in Tim's life. Pearcy described the exact legacy of Tim's family in his book, long before the family made its mark on the world. The generation gap between Tim and an aged Pearcy results in a constant power struggle. Even in death, stigma is inescapable, as Pearcy has become little more than a history book to a persistent Tim as he searches for answers.

But the power is in the hands of Trevor in 'Julie and Trevor.' Trevor, Julie's hunky co-worker, died from intense burns in a tragic fire. With Trevor's help, Julie overcomes insecurities as she reveals her four year crush on Trevor. Memories have the power to bring two people together under the most stressful circumstances. Memories shared with Trevor are exactly what Julie needs to move on as they remember tales of the office temptress.
