It is amazing how ignorant people sound when they get to speak from the "good side" of the track. For about 400 years (1600-1964), black people were oppressed by institutional slavery that did not end until the Equal Rights Act of 1964 and even then, it took some places dozens of years to act upon it. Not to mention the fact that other minorities were held back in various manners. So, in the '70s a few people thought it would be appropriate to attempt to atone for centuries of racism by giving minorities an "advantage." And now, after 35 years, I have to listen to the four of you complain about it being "unfair," or "racist" or however you want to describe it, and it is completely absurd. Dare I say ya'll are angry? Deal with the fact that diversity is a necessary aspect of a modern, 21st century education, get over it and move on. It doesn't sound so good anymore, does it?
