Sheltered conservative bubble not fit for A&M
In response to Sept. 18 mail call:

Many of yesterday's mail calls revolved around the idea that A&M is a conservative place for conservative people, and that people who are not conservative should not come here and make a fuss about diversity. It seems however that these people who adamantly defend A&M's right to exist as a "conservative bubble" where they can be sheltered from worldwide social trends failed to read A&M's very own mission statement. A&M's mission statement makes it very clear that the goal of A&M is not to "stand strong" against changing social and political influences as Mr. Vogel seems to imply in his mail call.
