Students attending Saturday's men's basketball game against Oklahoma will have access to more entrances at Reed Arena than in the past.

Shanna Ogilvie, the events coordinator at Reed Arena, said six doors will be open to students at 11:45 a.m. on the north side of the stadium, rather than the three doors used before Saturday's game.

"We're just trying to assist students so they can enter the arena faster and get to the student section in a safe manner," Ogilvie said.

Ogilvie also said students will be able to enter the arena through any entrance after 12 p.m. to help reduce lines on the north side. Attendants will be set up at each gate to check student ID's with student tickets.

Having more entrances open will make the process of entering the stadium fair to all students, said Mark Renucci, a senior computer engineering major.

"I think it's a good idea, because it ensures that the people who get there very early will get their deserved spot," Renucci said. "But at the same time, the people who can't get there five hours before the game can still get a better spot than the second deck."

Ogilvie said the changes were made to meet the demand caused by Reed Arena sell-out crowds, not because of any problems before the game against Oklahoma State on Jan. 20.
