Big Event organizers seek project requests and volunteers

Organizers of the 24th annual "Big Event," Texas A&M University's giant community service program that is set this year for March 24, are inviting local residents to register projects they would like to have considered and are asking Aggies to sign up for the volunteer work to do the projects.
Requests for projects, ranging from painting houses and other handy work at residents' homes to picking up trash in public areas throughout the Bryan-College Station community, are due by Feb. 23. Participation forms for the expected thousands of Aggie volunteers are due by March 2.
