Mark Turgeon, head coach of the Wichita State Shockers men's basketball team, will likely be offered the job as men's basketball head coach for Texas A&M.

A&M Athletic Director Bill Byrne picked up Turgeon at the airport in College Station, and he toured campus on Monday.

Wichita State, which is a part of the Missouri Valley Conference, went to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen two years ago.

If Turgeon accepts the position, the appointment will be announced in a news conference on Tuesday.

More details to come.
