Police arrested a man for stabbing two people during the course of an altercation Saturday morning at The Library, a bar on Northgate.

Julio Gutierrez, a 20-year-old from Bryan, was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he stabbed a 27-year-old employee of The Library and another man in the upper right arm. Both men were treated and released at College Station medical facilities.

Gutierrez was confined to the Brazos County Jail at 12:03 p.m. Saturday, and was released on $2,000 bond at 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

The criminal investigations unit of the College Station Police Department has taken over the investigation.

This stabbing comes approximately a month after an incident in which a man was killed and another was stabbed multiple times in an altercation on Lodge Street, which is also in the Northgate area.

Notice also, that these individuals who were not granted entry to the bars are the ones who stabbed these individuals. So obviously the "judgment" of the door guys is correct. (Continued…)
