The University of Texas and Kalcorp, parent company of College Station retail store Aggieland Outfitters, reached a settlement Monday regarding the use of the "Saw 'Em Off" logo. In November 2006, UT sued Kalcorp and its owner, Fadi Kalaouze, for manipulating the school's trademark Longhorn head silhouette. Kalaouze said that the company has been selling merchandise with the logo for 10 years and that there is no confusion between UT's logo and his "Saw 'Em Off" parody. Kalaouze agreed to change his logo by adding nostrils and a blaze (a white spot or stripe on the face of certain mammals and birds) to make it more distinguishable from the UT logo.

Why I can't even recognize the new logo it's so different. What is that supposed to be again? I can't tell.

Sarcasm aside, this seems like a win for Kalcorp. (Continued…)
