Illegal immigrant tuition break not fair

Although tuition is not higher at Texas A&M because of illegal immigrants getting in-state tuition, it is still a huge problem that needs to be addressed. The law is unfair to out-of-state Aggies and legal immigrants. The act of giving preferential treatment to illegal aliens simply because they have signed a paper stating that they would try to get legal status is dumbfounding. If we are going to do this, we need to ask out-of-state Aggies if they are planning on living here after they graduate, and if so give them in-state tuition as well. This would, in my opinion, be much more fair. These are legal citizens. These illegals have broken the law and should not get any special breaks. Whatever happened to, "An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal; or tolerate those who do?" It seems Rick Perry lost this notion in the midst of all his throwing up "Hook'em Horns" down in Austin. The University and the state legislature need to step up and correct this problem.
