Freshman Free Play, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., TAMU Golf Course Incoming students may try out the golf facilities at Texas A&M. Freshmen will receive a free round of golf with a student ID. Golf carts and range balls are available at the published rates. Tee times are strongly suggested.
Make Your Dollar Stretch and Stay Out of Debt, 10 a.m. - 11 p.m., Rudder Tower, Room 501 This seminar will discuss strategies for managing money wisely while in school. Learn to set goals, budgets and develop good spending and saving habits.
Study Abroad Financial Aid, 11 a.m. - noon, Rudder Tower, Room 501 Find out how to fund an international experience.
Ice Cream Carnival, 1 - 3 p.m., Sul Ross Statue Area Join the Aggie Orientation Leaders by Sully and enjoy free ice cream and games. Tons of campus giveaways and a chance to meet fellow Aggies.
Using Jobs for Aggies, 2 - 3 p.m., Rudder Tower, Room 501 Learn about
JobsforAggies.tamu.edu. This internet-based system assists Texas A&M students in obtaining
on-and-off campus part-time employment. Learn how to login, view job listings and post a profile to apply for jobs online. Student employment enhances skills and knowledge, assists with the financial demands of college and expands the educational experience.
Make the Grades You Want: Study Like an Aggie, 3:30 - 5 p.m., Rudder Tower, Room 301 Many students have difficulty transitioning from high school to college. This workshop will focus on equipping students with the skills needed for success in the classroom. Topics will include improving concentration and avoiding distractions, learning basic time management techniques and preparing for different kinds of exams.
How to get Kicked Out of Texas A&M University, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., Rudder Tower, Room 707 This interactive session will give members of the class of 2011 a chance to learn more about roles and responsibilities as a member of the Texas A&M community. Participants will learn about the most common student rule violations and how they can impact a student's standing.

Fishing for Liberal Arts "Fish" Ice Cream Social, 1 - 3 p.m., Sul Ross Statue Area Meet liberal arts students, members and officers of Liberal Arts Student Council, department heads and advisers and college deans.
DMS Welcome Reception, 2 - 4 p.m., Memorial Student Center, Room 292 The Department of Multicultural Services' cultural councils, including Asian Presidents' Council, Black Student Advisory Council and Hispanic Presidents' Council, as well as the Black Graduate Students' Association and Hispanic Graduate Student Association welcome freshmen to campus.
Alcohol 101, 3:30 - 4:30 p.m., Rudder Tower, Room 302 Learn the basics of affects, tolerance, blood alcohol concentration and alcohol poisoning. Toss a ball or do an obstacle course with beer goggles. See how blood alcohol content soars and lowers with pounding, drinking or sipping various drinks over time in the virtual bar.

From inflatable games to autograph and photo opportunities with Aggie athletes, Reveille and Yell Leaders, get ready to kick off a the year.
Class photo, 6 p.m., Simpson Drill Field Class of 2011: Wear the official Class of 2011 T-shirt and unite for the first time to take a class photo on Simpson Drill Field.
ExCEL Luau, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., Student Recreation Center Outdoor Area ExCEL opens the freshman conference to all incoming freshmen for the first of a series of evening activities filled with dinner, music and activities.

ExCEL Cultural Extrvaganza, 8 - 9:30 p.m., Memorial Student Center, Room 201 ExCEL continues the series of activities through a performance showcase from various Texas A&M student organizations in Rudder Theater. Immediately following the show is a night of music, dancing and games.
Night Out, 9:30 p.m. - midnight, Memorial Student Center, second floor Aggie Nights offers students a night of free entertainment, with bowling, billiards, games, sodas and food.
