Chivalry is alive and well. When I was shopping at the College Station Wal-mart [on Wednesday], I had one of the best experiences I have had in my almost 80 years. I was riding on one of the carts reserved for handicapped shoppers. When I got to the checkout counter, I could not reach everything in the basket to place it on the counter. A young Aggie cadet behind me in line rushed to help me get my purchases onto the counter and then followed me out into the parking lot to unload the basket into my car. I did not get his name but it really made me smile. It is so refreshing to find that this Aggie was willing to help an older stranger. Many thanks to you, young man, you are well on your way to being a leader.
