Texas A&M police sent a warning to students regarding a female student who was allegedly attacked in late September.

The student was not injured, but the suspect is still on the loose.

Police said the victim was attacked around 4 a.m., Sept. 30, near Heaton Hall on Ross Street.

The suspect was described as an black male, with possible facial hair.

The victim, who has chosen to participate in the "Jane Doe" pseudonym program, said she was walking from the Library Annex to her dorm located in the north residence hall area.

She said as she was walking on the sidewalk near Heaton Hall when she was approached from behind by an unknown male.

Police were told that the male suspect wrapped his left arm around the female's waist and pulled her toward him. The victim felt an object pressed against her right temple area.

The subject began kissing the right side of the victim's neck. Soon after, the suspect lowered the object he was holding and the victim struck the suspect in the groin area and fled the scene.

The suspect, if caught, could face charges of unlawful restraint, which is a third degree felony.
