Men's golf | Golf team plays in Florida tournament

The Texas A&M Men's golf team carded a final round 303 on Tuesday to finish last out of 18 at the Iselworth-UCF Collegiate Invitation at Isleworth Country Club in Windermere, Fla. Senior Bobby Gates took top honors for the Aggies, tying for No. 58 with a three day total of 75-76-74 - 225. Sophomore Austin Schauer placed No. 65 (73-75-78 - 226), senior Trey Todd tied for No. 79 (80-76-75 - 231). Freshman Conrad Shindler tied for No. 83 (78-83-76 - 237) and freshman Ignacio Elvira finished No. 87 (78-81-82 - 241). This was the fourth tournament for the men this fall and the first time they failed to finish in the Top 10. Georgia captured the title with a 54-hole total of 841. The Aggies had rounds of 304-308-303 - 915. Georgia's Harris English took individual honors with an 11-under-par total of 72-67-66 - 205. The Aggies will tee it up again in Napa, Calif., at the CordeValle Collegiate on Nov. 5-7.
