"We wanted the best spot and wanted to be the first in line," said Will Koonce, a senior engineering technology major. "If we didn't support [the team], we wouldn't be out here."
Jason Tomlinson, a senior engineering technology major, said that he does not condone skipping class and he is able to go to class because people stay in his group's tent in rotations.
The tents have electricity because campers ran extension cords into the light post sockets in front of Kyle Field.
"We didn't think we would have electricity at first," said Chase Friedman, a senior computer engineering major. "We realized we had a TV to bring out here and now we are just making noise."
Kayla Lorentz said she is camping out for the experience.
"It's the last game of our senior year," Lorentz said. "It's about camping out, not getting good tickets."
Ashlee Hister said she is having fun in the line and she is optimistic about the game.
"It's kind of just a little social hour," Hister said. "We are going to beat the hell out of t.u."
