The Association for India's Development, AID, will present its annual India Charity Food Festival, Swaad: The Taste of India 2007 Tuesday. Boasted as the largest Indian food festival in the community, it will have a wide selection of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods.

Swaad, the Hindu word meaning taste, is in its fifth year and is expected to draw nearly 800 people. The cultural experience will revolve around the theme of "Bollywood Indian Cinema."

The festival is designed to raise money for charities in India.

"The money we raise here will be going towards funding and managing the developmental projects which will be initiated by local people," said Sairkrishna Vadlapalli, president of AID and a mechanical engineering doctoral student.

The dinner will be in MSC 224 and tickets are available in the MSC box office. Student tickets are $12. Non-student tickets are $15. Family tickets, which includes two adults and children under 12, are $30.
