SUV burns on Wellborn

A car fire occurred on the Texas A&M campus Tuesday near the intersection of Joe Routt Boulevard and Wellborn Road and was extinguished by the College Station Fire Department. Freshman Andrew McCalip said he was at the top of the west campus garage when he saw a large fireball explode. "I saw it right as it happened," he said. "I was really impressed how quick the firefighters got here. They put [the fire] out in like 30 seconds." The man who owned the burned SUV declined to comment.
