PA 30 student parking lot in desperate need of repair
By: Clayton Jacobsen
Issue date: 2/22/08 Section: Mail Call
This is concerning the poor and potentially hazardous quality of the PA 30 student parking lot. In order to avert colliding with an approaching fellow motorist, a hard right swerve was necessitated, resulting in the governing of my vehicle over a large hump in the asphalt. This hump juts out approximately eight inches from the earth. The ground clearance of my car measures approximately four inches. The damages incurred to my vehicle include the shredding of an electric cable which powers my amplifier. I demand that the University finances the reparation of said damages incurred to my vehicle. The 12-foot length of eight gauge cable will amount to $12.47. The fee I will charge for my time spent on reparations is that which my part-time job pays me: $8 an hour. As I spent 45 minutes laboring, the total owed to me will amount to $18.47. I am aware that this is a hefty sum of money for the University to disburse, so I mercifully offer an optional alternative demand: that the University fix the parking lot. These are my demands - until either is met, I will proceed to be a pebble in the Transportation Service's shoe. Good day.
