The race for Student Body President is coming to a climactic end. After weeks of campaigning, the election designated Mark Gold, with 48.64 percent of the votes, and Ryan Rieger, with 14.88 percent of the votes, as the official runoff candidates.

Runoff voting will begin Wednesday at 9 a.m. and end Thursday at 5 p.m. Students may vote by visiting vote.tamu.edu or in the Memorial Student Center Foyer by the Flag Room.

Jake Bathman, A&M's previous election commissioner, resigned on Thursday. Bathman was charged with violating election policies and accused of poor managerial execution when he allowed Student Senate candidates to file for election after the deadline, and many Student Senate seats had no candidates file for election.
