Parrott, who served as associate vice president for student affairs and dean of student life, said he looks forward to his role.

"I am deeply honored to have been asked to serve as acting vice president for student affairs during this time of transition for the next school year," Parrott said. "As you know, this is a busy time for us with new student conferences under way and Fish Camp starting next month. We have much to be proud of as a University, and I'm honored to serve in this important role."

In addition, he said the University should stick together during this time.

"All of us wish Dean Bresciani all the best in his future endeavors. We recognize that while administrators may change, the Aggie Spirit that unites us all continues," Parrott said.

Because Parrott is serving in interim capacity, a permanent vice president for student affairs will be appointed.

Cook said Murano will lead the search.

"I think her goal is to fill the position as expeditiously as possibly," Cook said.

Murano stated the position will be filled permanently before the upcoming fall semester, in an e-mail distributed Tuesday.

Okay, he is gone. But the search for Reveille VIII, from what I see, is non-existent. Also, football starts in less than two months and there is no Reveille. (Continued…)

First of all, I am shocked that Bresciani had to step down. The Corps of Cadets needs to be free to operate and choose another Reveille. Had the University not stepped in, they'd already have Reveille VIII in place. (Continued…)

Well lets think about this. Murano needed Bresciani gone because he was a part of the "old" system under a different president. I definitely think it is unprofessional and uncalled for, but I do know it was completely political. (Continued…)

Dr. Bresciani, was an exceptional leader, well liked among students, and extremely qualified for his position. I hope Dr. Murano will not continue to remove excellent leaders, leaders deserving of respect and their positions from this University. (Continued…)

As someone who served in leadership positions for many student organizations on campus, I can tell you that Dr. B was DEFINITELY an asset to Texas A&M. (Continued…)

I'd be interested in the details of his dismissal. At Fullerton Community College, we've had a parade of idiot interims as place-warmers in Dean of Student Services and VP of Student Services --rather, not a parade in each position, but during 2007-08 a nightmare combination of fools who let student government run rampent with corruption and abuse with no stopping of them. Let's take bets he is replaced by a Hispanic or at least a minority.

Will anyone believe the agenda then?

Al why am I an idiot? Hey at least you used your first name.

More name calling, yet I have yet to find one person that can provide argument.

In Vision 2020 it states that the univesity will change according to the changing demographics of the state. (Continued…)
