Clown Prince of Crime here, the Harlequin of Hate if you will, consider him the Ace of Knaves if you must. He has held many titles in the past, but the deathly grin he leaves on his victims face is enough to let you know another victims has his last laugh.
Of all the villains in the world of villainy, none can match the mad theatrics of the Joker. A man whose killer calling card is the Joker from the deck, he probably spawned the entire "calling card" notion himself! The Joker is without a doubt the coolest supervillain ever conceived, and more than a match for poor ol', "aw I lost my parents," Bruce Wayne aka the Batman.
Someone give Bruce a Prozac, sheesh.
The Joker has battled Batman countless times over the years. His first appearance was in Batman #1 in 1940, and the character has defied death countless times since then. Every time Batman has captured him, he has been incarcerated in the infamous Arkham Asylum, from which he inevitably escapes.
The truth is, the Joker could off Batman any time he wants. He merely leaves Batman alive as a worthy foe, a toy, a plaything. Batman is the ying to the Joker's yang, the sing to his sang, the tomato to his tomato, though that last one only makes sense in song.
The Joker has complete control of the entire Batman - Joker feud. The Joker chooses when to instigate, he picks his crime and he picks where he wants to strike. Even when Batman "defeats" the Joker, the Joker is able to escape his imprisonment any time he wants to instigate his reign of terror again.
Have you seen the Joker's routine lately? His act is KILLER! If you want to measure kill counts, the Joker clocks in at over 2,000 according to one comic source, the entire Batman posse would be lucky to match that.
But that's not all, whereas Batman fights inept lackeys, the Joker victims include paralyzing Batgirl and offing the second Robin. Clearly the Joker's killer schemes are far more lethal than Batman or any member of his entourage.
