The site targets job seekers between 18 and 54 years old in the Bryan-College Station area.
The site allows users to post their resume online for employers to view it. The site offers job listings similar to daily newspapers.
"Students should use the site because it has the most job listings posted" said Eric Straus, President of RegionalHelpwanted.com. "The site offers students a free way to search for jobs."
The site was created to offer job seekers in the area a resource in finding a job.
"We knew that job classified dollars were moving online…away from print" Straus said, "And we also knew that radio reached jobseekers in each market better than any other medium…so we came up with the idea of partnering with radio stations to promote local job boards."
Lani Early, a new user of the site, said it is great because it allows users to contact the employers much faster than newspapers.
"[It's a] wonderful way to job hunt" Early said, "Started looking for a job last week, sent out six resumes via attachment, got three interviews, and was hired the following day."
Employers use the site because it has job seekers information available 24 hours a day.
"So far we have found the company to be a valuable alternative to print advertising," said Jeffrey Berg, Human Reources Manager of The Right Stuff International, Inc. "We have already hired a couple of new employees who located us through the website. As a small company, we greatly appreciate the lower cost of your service as compared to newspaper classified ads."
