Hurricane Ike may have devastated Galveston and other coastal cities, but College Station remained relatively unscathed this weekend as it hit land Friday night. While there was rain well into Saturday evening, the damage was minimal.
President Murano has indicated that classes will resume at 8 a.m. Monday as previously coordinated. University offices will also reopen at that time. She advised students to take extra precautions when driving because there is expected to be more traffic than usual as evacuees leave for home.
The Texas A&M-Galveston campus will remain closed until further evaluations of the damage can be made.
