Rudder's Rangers rappelled a building side and took over an enemy position in a mock battle scenario Thursday. The exercise simulated a rescue mission of an ally captured by the enemy. Pyrotechnic explosions were used to feign air support bombing enemy positions. The Rangers are a special training and Army ROTC unit in the Corps of Cadets. They are named after former Texas A&M University president Gen. James Earl Rudder.
