No. 6 Oklahoma at Texas A&M
The memories of a 77-0 drubbing of Texas A&M at Oklahoma in 2003 is still fresh in the minds of Aggie fans. As A&M continues to go through the growing pains of Head Coach Mike Sherman, the Sooners have boomed during the previous nine seasons under Head Coach Bob Stoops.
Winner: Oklahoma
Baylor at No. 4 Texas
Despite the statistical improvement under Head Coach Art Briles, the Bears have struggled in 2008 with a 3-6 record overall, 1-4 in the Big 12. Though the Longhorns are coming off of an upset loss to Texas Tech, Baylor is walking into the lion's den when they make the trip to Austin.
Winner: Texas
No. 9 Oklahoma State at No. 2 Texas Tech
For the first time since 1938, Texas Tech is 9-0. Though the Red Raiders went 10-1 in 1938, they did not play Oklahoma State or Oklahoma, their two remaining ranked opponents on the 2008 schedule. Tech, which has never played in a Big 12 title game, is fighting history in its pursuit.
Winner: Texas Tech
Iowa State at Colorado
Since beginning the season 2-0, Iowa State has collapsed, losing seven consecutive games. Colorado began the season 3-0 but has since gone 1-5. The battle for the bottom of the Big 12 North will be in Boulder, Co., on Saturday. Iowa State could be the Buffaloes' final win of 2008 with games against No. 9 Oklahoma State and at Nebraska remaining.
Winner: Colorado
Kansas at Nebraska
Nebraska's Big Red Sea has sold out Memorial Stadium every game since Nov. 3, 1962. During that span the Cornhuskers are 256-39 at home. Kansas State is coming off a 52-21 drubbing of in-state rival Kansas State, but will be unable to compete in such a hostile environment. A win will give the Cornhuskers a chance to sneak into the Big 12 North race.
Winner: Nebraska
Kansas State at No. 14 Missouri
With three games remaining on its schedule, Missouri is in need of wins to take the Big 12 North title. Both teams boast strong quarterbacks and poor pass defenses.
