Vote on MSC referendum
By: Melissa Appel
Issue date: 12/1/08 Section: News
The Texas A&M student body will be able to vote on the Memorial Student Center Complex referendum Monday through Wednesday.
The referendum will address the issue of MSC renovations and the three-year closing of the MSC for three years beginning in fall 2009. The referendum question is, "Given the recent developments regarding the MSC Renovation Plan, do you agree with the currently proposed MSC Renovation Plan?" Students will answer with "yes" or "no." This is a nonbinding referendum, meaning that A&M administration will still make the decision on MSC plans independent of the vote. The results from the referendum will be adopted as the official stance of Student Government Association.
Where to vote
The voting will begin at 9 a.m. Monday and continue until 5 p.m. Wednesday. The referendum can be accessed at http://vote.tamu.edu.
