Show off those curves!

Look for stylish skirts, 1940s and 50s jackets that tailor the natural waist and accentuate hips and bust. If you have it, flaunt it! This looks best on those with curvier shapes and womanly figures. Look for industrial-inspired fabrics like canvases, wools and cotton blends.

Country living

Aggies can bring this trend to the forefront of campus, but be sure and keep some modern element too. Stick with mixes of tweed, plaids and corduroys. While these fabrics tend to be warmer, only wear them when the temperatures dip lower. Check out the traditional colors of rusts, browns, greens and maroons - perfect for the start of basketball season. Say yes to long skirts instead of leggings, and pair with a fitted leather or a fur vest to keep it proportional. Go for sleek riding boots and add a hat for an extra touch.

Rocker Chic

For something a bit more modern check out the edgy, sophisticated rocker look. Stick with plain jean styles and pair them with links, fabric or velvet vest or a jeweled cardigan. Skinny pants are a must. If going for a more lived-in, slouchy look, then stick to defined shoulders or banded waist to give definition to the ensemble. Think about hands-in-pockets, easy-going clothes. Look for fabrics like jersey, satin and wool blends that are lightweight yet instill some shape and control. Keep this look casual because there is no need to make it over the top when simple works well.

Masculine Fabrics

Get into your brother or your boyfriend's closet for this trend. Classic masculine fabrics like tweed and plaid are great options. Slouchy boyfriend jeans with a tucked-in button down shirt are a great example of something the start is wearing too. Pair this look with colorful feminine accessories to make it more you instead of your boyfriend. Zac Posen is out again with his typically razor sharp menswear inspired suits, take a slice of this trend and borrow from the boys. For a more feminine version, look for tuxedo dresses, or tuxedo inspired vests. For the more conservative stylistas, pair jeans and a men's button down with a classic blazer in tweed or twill.

Modern/artsy

Use bold, structured pieces, particularly in outerwear. Look for something that features panels and geometric shapes. To bring art back in style, look for colorful prints to couple with the more structured pieces to create depth and perspective in the outfit.

Fur

Despite PETAs efforts, fur is all over this season's runways. Don't go for an entire outfit, but stick with accent pieces on coats, trims or scarves. Pair more vibrant fur patterns with simple, classic clothing like A-line skirts, dark jeans or trousers. Keep the ensemble modern with colorful, funky jewelry, bright lips or an interesting eye shadow color. Stay away from unnatural colors like pinks and purples, and opt instead for gray, brown blends and whites.

Act like a lady!

Put together blouses, pencil skirts and tailored pieces. Look for feminine touches such as ruffles and lace. Stick with satin, silks and cotton blends that create structure yet breathe against the skin. StyleList points out an unconventional cocktail dress by Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. While keeping it safe is good for some, the more stylistically free-spirited should try to pair feminine ruffles with alternative fabrics such as plastics, twill and wool, or differing styles like a mini dress, skirt or even a shrug.

Look for the colors of the lingerie drawer - reds, pinks, blacks and even deep navy. Avoid looking like a damsel in distress by adding structure when possible with straight leg pants, pencil skirts or fitted, clean cut coats. For a bit more sex appeal, pair the ensemble with some killer heels or tough-looking driving gloves. Go for less is more with this trend, so stick with simple, basic make up with bold jewelry to complete the look and bring some strength to the outfit.
