An Army ROTC helicopter crashed at 3 p.m. Monday on Duncan Field at Texas A&M University. The Army UH-60 Blackhawk contained a crew of five: four Army National Guard and one ROTC staff member at TAMU. All injured have been taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and the College Station Medical Center. As of 5:30 p.m., one fatality has been confirmed.

The helicopter, alongside 190 cadets in the University's Corps program, was taking part in the Corps of Cadets' ROTC Winter Field Training Exercises. The helicopter went down after an apparent problem with the rudder.

More information can be found on the Texas A&M main website, www.tamu.edu.
