Sooners, Longhorns represent Big 12

Oklahoma and Texas will represent the Big 12 in the Bowl Championship Series in 2009. The Sooners will make their third consecutive BCS appearance when they play Florida in the BCS National Championship Game on Jan. 8 in Miami. In their first BCS appearance since winning the National Championship in 2005, the Longhorns will travel to Glendale, Ariz. to take on Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl on Jan. 5.
