Making a mark

Graduate computer science student Ji Zhang works on his senior thesis project Tuesday at Simpson Drill Field. Zhang sets up brightly colored markings on a fence and takes pictures of the markings at measured distances and angles. He hopes to be able to determine the positions from which the pictures were taken using the photos, based on the spacing up the markings.
