National preseason poll ranks Aggie softball at No. 10

After appearing in its second consecutive Women's College World Series in 2008, the Texas A&M softball team was ranked No. 10 in the nation heading into the 2009 season. The Aggies, who lost four seniors from the 2008 National Championship runner-up squad, earned the ranking from the preseason poll by ESPN.com and USA Softball on Tuesday. Three of the four seniors, Jame Lobpries, Amanda Scarborough and Megan Gibson, will act as student assistant coaches to Head Coach Jo Evans during the season. A&M opens the regular season against Tulsa and the University of Texas-San Antonio in the Aggie Classic Tournament on
