Aggie men's basketball team falls in close game to No. 2 Oklahoma

The Texas A&M men's basketball team fell in the final minutes 77-71 at No. 2 Oklahoma on Wednesday. The Aggies kept the game close in the first eight minutes, trailing the Sooners 10-7 with 12:36 remaining in the first half. Oklahoma took control and went on a 20-8 run in the next seven minutes, stretching their lead to 30-15. The Sooners finished the half with a 40-32 lead. A&M started the second half on a 10-2 run, tying the game at 42-42 with 17:02 remaining in the game. The Sooners and Aggies traded shots for the next four minutes before A&M took a 50-48 lead with 12:51 remaining. After trading baskets, A&M stretched the lead to nine points with 6:25 on the clock. The Aggie scoring stopped and the Sooners tied the game at 69-69 with less than two minutes remaining in the game. Oklahoma finished the game on an 8-2 run to keep its Big 12 unbeaten streak alive. Junior center Chinemelu Elonu paced the Aggies with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Senior forward Josh Carter scored 15 points, and junior forward Bryan Davis scored 13 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
