Two students were involved in a collision at approximately 9:05 a.m. Friday on Throckmorton Street in front of Vice President for Student Affairs Joe Weber's house.
Junior biomedical science major Taylor Wagner said she was on a bike traveling southeast on Throckmorton Street when she saw junior veterinary medicine major David Wilber on a bike moving in the opposite direction in the same bike lane.
A bus was traveling in the lane adjacent to Wagner when she swerved to miss Wilber.
"The bus was coming behind me and I didn't see the bus at all," Wagner said. "I swerved out of the way because he didn't move. The bus was on my side so I fell onto the side of the bus then fell onto the ground."
Wagner said she suffered bruises and scrapes on her hands and knees. Wagner's backpack and the contents were damaged during the collision.
"It could have been a lot worse," Wilber said. "I'm really glad it just turned out that she didn't have any injuries."
Medical personel and University police department officers responded to the scene.
