Today as I was returning to campus from lunch, I found it difficult to locate a parking spot in Lot 50. I found this strange because I had paid more than $260 for a hang tag that I thought would guarantee me a spot in parking Lot 50. Of course, at the beginning of the year, Lot 50 had about 20 percent more space than it does now because of to the unannounced construction of the new Emerging Technologies and Economic Development building. I was curious to see if A&M considered delaying beginning the construction of this building until the fall when the number of parking permits sold to students for Lot 50 could be reduced to account for the reduction in parking spaces. I purchased an expensive parking permit for a reason.
