The two teams met in April 2008 in College Station when the Aggies pulled out an 11-0 victory.
The Bobcats are 5-4 in 2009, but had success against Big 12 conference teams. Texas State defeated Texas 9-6 on Feb. 11 and Oklahoma State 5-1 in the University of Houston Crowne Plaza Classic on Feb. 14.
The Bobcats also posted a 2-0 win against Houston, which is ranked No. 14 in the nation, in the same tournament.
Texas State freshman pitcher Chandler Hall earned Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week accolades after going a perfect 3-0 in appearances against the three teams.
Chandler has 24 strikeouts in the season, an ERA of 2.57 and 21 innings pitched. She ranks second in the Southland Conference in wins and strikeouts per game.
Junior first baseman Leah Boatright leads the Bobcats offensively with three home runs, a batting average of .290, and a slugging percentage of .613.
A&M Head Coach Jo Evans said the Aggies will fight for a win against a tough team.
"Texas State is doing a great job, they're certainly playing very well," Evans said. "I think that our kids need to treat this as a Big 12 game and really get out there and be aggressive."
A&M, 5-5 overall, is coming off a four-game losing streak with losses to Louisiana State and Ohio State.
Sophomore Rhi Kliesing and freshman Rebecca Arbino have started all 10 games on the mound for the Aggies this year.
Kliesing has posted a record of 3-2 with an ERA of 1.41 while recording 34 strikeouts and 13 walks.
