It appears to me that there are a few errors in the interpretation of Rush Limbaugh's controversial statement. Mr. Holland says, "If [Obama's] policies fail, the country fails." In response to this I say you couldn't be more wrong. The present course of action that President Obama is taking by promoting (and demanding support for) this spending bill will damage this country more than it will help it. Every candidate for the presidency promises a lot of different things for a lot of different reasons, but if Obama makes good on half of the things that he promised to do if elected, this country will suffer for it. I can disagree with the president's ideas and hope that the president fails in instituting certain political agenda and there is nothing wrong with that. Obama is not a conservative, far from it, and therefore is diametrically opposed to everything Limbaugh believes in. Given that, why would Limbaugh want him to succeed unless it was done on the side of conservatism? As Limbaugh himself said, "I support the president, I just don't support his policies."
