I just read a mail call regarding the article "Viva la sexual revolution," and I am both appalled and disgusted with what the writer had to say. How dare someone make any sort of judgment on Texas A&M and suggest that this school should be for only conservative, Republican Christians? This school, just like this country, is incredibly diverse in regards to politics, religion, everything. One can't expect everybody to hold the same beliefs and those with opposing views to refrain from expressing their opinions. The writer's expressing his opinions, why can't anybody else? Nobody is forced to read that article, and nobody is forced to accept any viewpoints one doesn't agree with, and nobody ever should be. But if anyone thinks A&M is somehow going to shelter someone from the "secular and immoral," that person is in for a rude awakening. And the writer had the nerve to call "Viva la sex revolution" a one-sided argument? The writer's little rant sounded pretty one-sided to me. It disgusts me that there are such na've and close-minded people in this world, let alone on this campus.
