The Zachry Engineering Building was evacuated Tuesday after faulty wiring in an elevator burned through some insulation, creating smoke and triggering the fire alarm. Multiple fire trucks and police cruisers converged on the scene at 2 p.m. The building was cleared and students and faculty were allowed to reenter the building at 2:35 p.m.
