Northgate accident victim listed in stable condition

A student struck by a speeding truck in the Northgate parking garage March 1 is listed in stable condition. Rachael Rahn, a 22-year-old accounting graduate student, has had her status changed from critical condition and is at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. Linday Walters, a 21-year-old accounting graduate student and friend of Rahn's, died at the scene. College Station resident Andre Bocock, 22, was also injured in the accident. His condition stabilized the next morning.The truck, which was driven by Bryan resident Alma Martinez, 26, struck the group while they were waiting in line to pay the parking fees. Reports said the vehicle accelerated rapidly, jumped the curb and hit them. Martinez continued driving, exiting the garage and went on to hit another vehicle at 309 College Main before coming to a stop in the middle of the road.
