The Virginia Tech Student Government Association would like to personally thank the Texas A&M Student Government Association for the tremendous job they did during the 2009 Conference on Student Government Associations. We wanted to submit an article thanking everyone for their planning and execution of the amazing national conference.

Although more than 1,200 miles separate A&M from Virginia Tech, we have never felt more at home in College Station. The three days we spent on your campus will forever be remembered by all of us as one of the highlights of our undergraduate education. Your school's gorgeous buildings, beautiful landscape and community-oriented approach are analogous to our Hokie stone, the Blueridge Mountains and the small-town feel of Blacksburg, Va. We bonded with the all the Aggies we met. It was an instant and meaningful bond that will not be soon forgotten. The roots of the bond come from a sense of pride that each of us has in being Hokies and that each of you has in being Aggies.

Virginia Tech takes extreme pride in our Hokie Nation. We all believe in the same principles and strive for similar aspirations. We have found that same drive and desire for good is in all the students at your university. There will always be a special place in our hearts for the entire Texas A&M community. Thank you again for an extremely successful conference and the opportunity to grow as student leaders. Gig'em Aggies!
