Baseball team looks to maintain streak
No. 13 Texas A&M will play University of Texas-San Antonio today at Olsen Field. The Aggies are riding a five game winning streak and are one of five teams in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's Top 30 to go undefeated this past week. The Roadrunners are coming off a 1-2 series loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. A&M is 3-0 against UTSA since losing to the team on March 12, 2006.

Fleece named Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Week
After earning two wins and two saves this past week, sophomore pitcher Nick Fleece earned Big 12 Co-Pitcher of the Week honors. Fleece helped Texas A&M to a 4-0 record during the week, throwing in all four games. He allowed one hit and hit one batter in 6.1 innings of work. The performance boosted an already strong season out of the bullpen. Fleece has not allowed a run in 10.2 innings of work this season. He has struckout 11 batters and allowed eight baserunners.

Softball team reschedules games
No. 20 Texas A&M has rescheduled games that were disrupted by weather this past week. The Aggies will play Baylor in Waco on April 28 and will make up a two-game series at Kansas in a double header on April 30. The team will return to the Aggie softball complex on Wednesday to play Big 12-leading Texas. The Longhorns are 4-1 and the Aggies are 1-1 in conference play.

Equestrian team awarded top seeds
Texas A&M's western riders claimed the No. 1 team seed for the 2009 Varsity Equestrian National Championship on Monday. Two individuals, junior Caroline Gunn and sophomore Tara Christiansen, earned the No. 1 seed for the individual horsemanship and reining tournaments. The selection committee also awarded the hunter seat riders with the No. 5 team seed. The National Championship will be in Waco from April 16-18.

Pavan leads men's golf team in Austin
No. 20 Texas A&M is tied for ninth place after the first day of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate tournament in Austin. No. 3 Oklahoma State leads the tournament by 15 strokes. Junior Andrea Pavan scored an even-par 71 in day's two rounds and is tied for third place individually. Field leader Tom Glissmeyer from Southern California has a three-stroke lead over Pavan.
