n Men's tennis team looks to continue winning ways with match against Rice

The Aggies are 13-6 overall and are in second place in the Big 12 with a 4-1 conference record. A&M is coming off a 5-2 win against Nebraska, and is playing its first nonconference match in almost two weeks.
The Aggies took an early lead against Nebraska Saturday by winning the doubles point for the first time in three matches. Senior Conor Pollock and sophomore Austin Krajicek snapped a three-match losing streak by winning their doubles match 8-4.
"We are doing a better job of moving, attacking and poaching," said Texas A&M Head Coach Steve Denton. "It was one of the things that we were missing the last four or five matches. We talked about taking more chances and being more aggressive and it paid off for us in that last point to win the match."
A&M won four of the six singles points thanks to Pollock, Krajicek and sophomores Wil Spencer and Alexey Grigorov.
A&M has won eight of its previous nine matches with the sole loss happening Wednesday at Baylor. In a battle of the two teams in the Big 12 with perfect conference records, the Bears won 5-2.
Rice snapped a three-match losing streak Sunday with a 7-0 sweep of Southern Methodist on Senior Day. The Owls improved to 14-9 overall and are 3-1 against Conference USA .
The match against A&M is Rice's final regular season match before starting the Conference USA Tournament Friday in Orlando, Fla. The Owls were the runner-up at the tournament in 2008.
