AMC Guard prepares event to honor Aggies who served in WWII

The AMC Guard will be have an event 8 a.m. Friday on Simpson Drill field in honor of the Aggie veterans who participated in World War II. The main purpose of this event is to honor those Aggies who served in WWII, said John Griffin, senior business management major and AMC guard commander. "We will wear World War II cadet uniforms and perform renditions of honors for the veterans." More events are scheduled for the AMC Guard Muster services and a broad spectrum of services throughout the state. "We do funeral services, memorial and remembrance events for Aggie Veterans," Griffin said. The AMC Guard is strictly for junior and senior cadets in the Corps. Griffin described it as a "a civil service" and said they try their best to honor others, as well as represent the cadet presence at A&M.
