I watched this remarkable young woman grow up during the time she was a student at Lakenheath Elementary School in England. She and her family are unique in so many ways - they shared a warmth and empathy that extends outward like a massive hug, an eagerness to accept challenges, and the knowledge that everything was possible. I would like to thank the Battalion for the tribute of Serena's memories. She had always loved taking pictures of people, places, and unusual things, traveling, making friends, and experiercing challenging situations; she loved life. (Continued…)
